Nick provides a wealth of experience, from start-up to the most profitable exit for shareholders, gained from managing, leading and re-structuring many businesses in a range of industries including construction.
Nick recently established Solway Communications offering super fast, highly reliable, wireless internet services to locations other companies can’t reach. This innovative, state of the art technology will help the UK Government meet its pledge to provide fast internet services to rural areas across the country.
Nick is also a senior adviser at Quayle Munro PLC, a provider of private wealth services for individuals and businesses helping them grow the value of their assets.
He was pivotal in negotiating the 2003/2004 clinical services contract, funding and construction terms for a new venture, UK Specialist Hospitals/OR International Inc , which has been, by a clear margin, the most successful of the Independent Sector Treatment Centres introduced to challenge existing NHS structures. He led the financial structuring of the business’ second contract to triple its size, provided ad hoc advice on structuring of other medical projects in other countries including UK, Turkey and Botswana.
Nick chaired John Rowan & Partners between 2002 and 2008 and led the reorganisation, recapitalisation and progressive turn-round of this, now highly successful, provider of construction services.
Advising on the buy-in of Pinnacle PSG in 2000, Nick subsequently provided intermittent ad hoc business advice to this social housing specialist that has become the largest private manager of social housing in the UK.
Nick initiated and led Emmaus South Lambeth, a self-sustaining social enterprise, in the recycling sector from 1996 to 2008. He assembled and chaired a board of prominent business people who contributed their time, expertise, effort and money, raised funding and managed the staff.
